In March 2013 , I had a very last minute phone call from Favourbrook asking me to supply and arrange some flowers for a photo shoot they were planning in the Dining room of Hedingham Castle.
The theme they were after was 'eccentric English' , they explained they were bringing all their models, with fab clothing, and having a dinner party in the dinning room.
Not just a mock dinner party but a full on dinner party, to get the
ambiance right. They wanted the flowers to be very natural, lots of candles and old antique glass etc.
to fit their theme, and be in keeping with Hedingham Castle.
Obviously I was delighted to be asked by such
a prestigious London Company so I jumped at the chance, and had no time to waste.
I started to collect containers of trailing Ivy, contorted Willow, along with
Pussy Willow and any blossoms I could find.
The flowers I used were Country style garden Roses, Antirrhinums, Amaranthus (the hanging green variety)
and
Delphiniums.
Additionally Wax Flower and
Viburnum Snowball
were teamed with lots of moss and mixed foliage.
I arranged some of the flowers in containers ready to be put into place,
and supplied some of the flowers for the Favourbrook team.
The dinner party took place in the evening so as to get the feel of the candle light right,
but when I arrived to deliver the flowers there were models and make up artists everywhere.
